1. Overview

The Information Technology (IT) Department, established in 2010, is a professional department of the National Hospital of Acupuncture, under the direct management and guidance of the Hospital Director and the professional and technical guidance of the specialized Departments and Bureaus of the Ministry of Health.

2. Functions and Tasks

• Advise and assist the Hospital Director in developing applications and managing the IT system's operations across all hospital activities.
• Deploy IT solutions, tools, and application activities in all departments, rooms, centers, programs, projects, and units of the hospital.
• Develop and manage the database system from all departments, rooms, centers, programs, projects, and units of the hospital.
• Implement solutions to ensure security and confidentiality for the hospital's information systems and databases; manage and maintain the stable and effective operation of network and email systems; ensure information connectivity among hospital units.
• Guide, train, and retrain IT application knowledge and skills for hospital staff and officials.
• Provide technical support, monitor, and evaluate the IT application activities of the hospital's departments, rooms, centers, programs, projects, and units.
• Manage the hospital's server system and IT equipment.
• Perform maintenance and servicing of the hospital's computer systems and IT equipment.

3. Human Resources

The Information Technology Department has a total of 06 staff members, including 01 with a Master's degree, 02 with Bachelor's degrees, 02 engineers, and 01 with a college degree.
