The General Planning Department of the National Hospital of Acupuncture was established in 1982, at the same time as the establishment of the National Institute of Acupuncture. The General Planning Department has received the "Excellent Labor Collective" title three times, seven certificates of merit from the Minister of Health, and many other titles and certificates of merit from the Hospital Director.

  1. Functions and Tasks

The hospital's General Planning Department is a professional unit under the direct leadership of the hospital Director and is responsible to the Director for:

  • Planning the activities of all departments and rooms.
  • Urging and inspecting the implementation of hospital regulations.
  • Organizing and directing the hospital's professional and technical work.
  • Based on the hospital's mission, guide departments and rooms in planning the implementation of all hospital activities.
  • Organize, monitor, urge, and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of hospital plans and regulations to report to the director for review and direction.
  • Summarize and evaluate professional work.
  • Periodically review and summarize treatment work, reporting to the Director and higher authorities.
  • Organize the hospital-wide on-call duty system.
  • Ensure the storage, statistics, and retrieval of medical records according to regulations.
  • Advise on building technical procedures, treatment guidelines, and developing the hospital's technical expertise for the Director's approval and reporting to higher authorities.
  • Organize the coordination of work between departments and rooms within the hospital, and between the hospital and relevant agencies to improve the efficiency of medical examination and treatment.
  • Coordinate with the Training and Direction Center to direct and provide technical support to lower-level units, and organize continuous training for hospital members and lower-level units.
  • Collaborate with the Training and Direction Center to organize practical classes for students from various schools.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments/rooms to implement international cooperation activities according to the hospital's plan and state regulations.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments/rooms to prepare plans for disaster prevention, quality management, infection control, and other unusual situations to submit to the Director and organize implementation.

The General Planning Department has a total of 10 staff members, including 01 Specialist Level II Doctors, 02 Masters of Science in Medicine, 03 doctors, 01 Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and 03 nurses.
