The Center for Addiction Treatment and Sleep Disorders of the National Hospital of Acupuncture was established on December 11, 2001, under Decision No. 5220/QD - BYT of the Ministry of Health. The Center received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Health in 2015 and 2019, and the "Excellent Labor Collective" title in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020.

  1. Functions and Tasks
  • Conduct scientific research, support the treatment of drug addiction and other substance addictions using acupuncture methods, and apply research results to addiction treatment in rehabilitation centers and at the grassroots healthcare level.
  • Implement the results of research on addiction treatment with acupuncture in treating voluntary addicts at the treatment center, in treatment facilities, and at the grassroots healthcare level.
  • Compile teaching materials and participate in training and retraining for doctors working in acupuncture treatment for addiction.
  • Engage in international cooperation in the research and treatment of addiction with acupuncture in accordance with current laws.
  1. Human Resources The Center for Addiction Treatment and Sleep Disorders has a total of 10 staff members, including: 01 Specialist Level II Doctor, 01 with a Master's degree, 02 doctors, 06 nurses.
