Welcoming the delegation of officials, lecturers and students from Nanyang Polytechnic University, Singapore, Associate Professor - Doctor Tran Van Thanh, Director of the National Hospital of Acupuncture, introduced the history of the establishment and development of the Hospital. Acupuncture and the quintessence of Oriental medicine are the foundation for the Hospital to affirm its leading role and expertise in acupuncture in the Vietnamese health sector. Currently, the Hospital has become a regional specialized medical center for training, scientific and technical exchange and international cooperation in acupuncture in Vietnam.

 

The Faculty of Medicine and Social Work is one of the prestigious training faculties of Nanyang Polytechnic University, Singapore, among the top public Universities, colleges in Singapore. The exchange and practice program of the delegation of staff, lecturers and students of the University in Hanoi is also part of the program to promote the effectiveness of international cooperation in professional training for young people in the Southeast Asian region. In particular, from the close relationship between the university and the hospital, through the connection of Hoa Binh University in professional training and practical experience, the working delegation of Singaporean staff and lecturers listened to lectures and learned about the practice at the National Hospital of Acupuncture. The visit is one of a series of international cooperation activities to contribute to connecting cooperation in training in traditional medicine, acupuncture and non-drug treatments, forming research on innovation in the field of training - health care practice between the National Hospital of Acupuncture and medical training Universities and Colleges in Singapore.

 

The delegation of staff, lecturers and students of Nanyang Polytechnic University, Singapore visited and learned about professional work at a number of medical examination and treatment departments. The delegation visited the Pediatrics Department, the Center for Treatment of Autism and Cerebral Palsy, and the Department of Stroke and Rehabilitation. At the treatment departments, Singaporean lecturers and students were shared about the role and effects of acupuncture - traditional Vietnamese medicine, highly appreciated and expressed admiration for the values ​​of acupuncture and traditional medicine that Vietnam has achieved./.
